The process developed by GS Inima, manages to reduce electricity consumption by up to 40%.

To respond to the challenges identified in the Spanish Strategy and in the European Union scheme reflected in HORIZON 2020, GS Inima in collaboration with the University of Girona (UdG) and the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI), it develops the PRONOX Project.

PRONOX reduces electricity consumption in wastewater treatment plants (EDAR). WWTPs consume significant amounts of energy with the consequent associated Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions. The main objective of this project is to maximize the capture and redirection of carbon and nitrogen with minimal oxidation of carbon.
