GS Inima seeks to use its latest acquisition as a platform to realize its ambitions for the region.
GS Inima wants to quickly build a water portfolio in Asia, after securing a platform for business development in the region, thanks to the acquisition of a stake in a Vietnamese concessionaire.
Inima paid some $13,6 million for a 30% stake in Phu My Vinh Construction & Investment (PMV) in a deal that was completed this month.
CEO Marta Verde told GWI that she expects the deal to kick off the company’s Asian presence, such as the acquisition of three industrial water concessions from Brazilian firm BRK Ambiental in 2019 that bolstered the company’s position Inima as the most successful non-Brazilian company in the country’s fast-growing concessions market.
