Carboneras

Desalination

A plant capable of using water both for irrigation and for urban and tourist supply.

GS Inima built the Carboneras Plant with the greatest technical advances in desalination, especially the energy recovery capacity, which uses the pressure of the rejected water to generate energy. At the time of its construction it was the largest desalination plant in Europe until the completion of the Barcelona plant in 2009.
